We all agree, when it comes to washing a wool sweater, we still hesitate and always hesitate!

This is therefore one of the most important points in our development and creation work, and here are our commitments:

All our sweaters are industrially pre-washed during their production.

This means that all our sweaters have already seen water, a washing machine and laundry detergent! The knit is thus fixed and can be machine washed on a wool cycle without any problem.

All our sweaters are tested, worn, washed, before being put into the collection.

To guarantee the best quality and machine washability. In other words: no pilling and no need for dry cleaning!

Here are our best tips for washing your sweater:

Machine wash on wool program

This is the most suitable and simplest solution. Your sweater has already been machine-washed by us, so there's no need to worry about using the appropriate wash cycle: wool program.

The essentials:

Temperature below 30 degrees (to avoid shrinking the fiber)

Spin speed below 700 rpm minimum (to avoid breaking the fibers and creating pilling)

Lay flat, ideally on a towel (to avoid marks from the drying rack).

Do not expose to the sun

Definitely don't put it in the dryer ;)

Iron gently on the reverse side, it loves steam!

Here are a few tips if you'd like to know more!

Ironing your sweater allows the fibers to regain their original position, their fluffiness and their shine.

If you only want to machine wash one or two sweaters, slip them into a laundry bag or pillowcase to avoid "stretching" them.

Do not wring your sweaters to remove excess water, you risk breaking the fibers.

Don't put your sweaters on a hanger, but fold them in your closets; this will prevent them from losing their shape.

When it's time to open the windows, beware of moths, which love beautiful natural fibers. Store them in covers. Protect them.

If a few pills appear, almost impossible with Cabane, remove them with a specific machine = an anti-pilling razor.

For laundry, simply avoid overdosing.

If you really want to wash your sweaters by hand, do not let them soak, keep the same (warm) temperature between washing and rinsing and finally wring out your sweater by rolling it in a towel.
